A mail carrier, identified by a U.S. Mail logo on his shirt pocket and a 'US MAIL' stamp on the wheel of his pushcart, stands smiling in front of a light-colored wall. He wears a pith helmet, a short-sleeved collared shirt, shorts, and work boots with white socks. His left hand rests on the handle of a two-wheeled pushcart with a dark fabric bag. A chain hangs from his shorts pocket. The image is black and white, showing some photographic artifacts such as dust and scratches.
