A 38th Parallel marker, bearing a Commonwealth crown, indicates a position where the 38th Parallel cuts a main road, probably in the 1st Commonwealth Division area in Korea. Stone markers were placed at significant points along the 38th Parallel, which were occupied by United Nations forces after the ceasefire.
